Parties

These Terms and Conditions are made between bookmainstreet.co.uk and whosoever shall use this website (the client).

For persons who are resident in the United Kingdom or any other country of the European Union, the applicable booking and purchase conditions are those which are set by the Accommodation Provider. By making a reservation on the Site you enter into a contract with the Accommodation Provider itself rather than with bookmainstreet.co.uk. bookmainstreet.co.uk acts as agent only for each of the Accommodation Providers to provide you with information on the Accommodation and with an on-line reservation service. bookmainstreet.co.uk sole responsibility to you in providing the on-line reservation service is to pass your reservation details entered on the Accommodation Provider. bookmainstreet.co.uk shall not accept any liability for any loss or damage you may suffer or incur as a result of the incorrect processing of your reservation details by the Accommodation Provider, or the Accommodation provided to you by the Accommodation Provider. Residents of other countries must identify themselves as such at the time of booking or purchase and ascertain whether the booking or purchase will be accepted from their country of residence and the conditions applicable to their booking or purchase.

bookmainstreet.co.uk provides information concerning the price and availability of Accommodation, together with a range of other information to assist in making a reservation of Accommodation. Prices, restrictions and availability of goods and services may change without notice and reservations may be subject to applicable taxes and fees. By completing the information boxes and clicking 'confirm' on the reservation page you are entering into a contract with bookmainstreet.co.uk for the provision of all the services of the Site, including the publication of pricing, availability and other information concerning available Accommodation on the terms set out herein. Booking and purchase conditions contain limitations and exclusions of liability to any person(s) who books Accommodation with any of Accommodation Providers advertised on the Site. Cancellation and amendment charges are payable if a booking or other purchase is cancelled or amended after it has been confirmed.

Any reservations you make on the Site will be directly with the Accommodation Provider whose Accommodation you are booking. At the time of making any such reservation you are entering into a contract with the Accommodation Provider and not with bookmainstreet.co.uk. If you use the bookmainstreet.co.uk online booking facility on the Site particular terms and conditions regarding availability, prices and cancellation may apply to each rate quoted and you should read carefully the rate details that are provided before proceeding to the ["confirm" section]. Each Hotel has certain rules relating to the occupancy of its accommodation. Any special needs must be notified to the Hotel in advance. Some Hotels may have additional terms and conditions.

Use of Site

The client may only use the website to make legitimate enquiries or bookings and hereby undertakes not to make any speculative, false or fraudulent booking or any booking in anticipation of demand.

The client also undertakes to provide correct and accurate information, including email and other contact details, and acknowledges that bookmainstreet.co.uk may use these details in correspondence. bookmainstreet.co.uk will contact you with booking information and any other service it offers, including special offers, although you can opt out of these at any time.

Making a Booking

A legally binding booking exists when the required information is input by the client and the confirm button is pressed. This may mean that the booking has been confirmed with the hotel directly or it may be an on request booking, where bookmainstreet.co.uk will confirm usually within 24 hours. The client is advised which type of booking it is on a message displayed on screen.

The client acknowledges that by clicking on the confirm booking, he/she is authorising bookmainstreet.co.uk to secure the booking and to charge the credit/debit card with the total rate as shown.

Confirmations

Once the client has pressed the confirm button, a confirmation message will be displayed on screen. This confirmation forms the basis of the contract for the booking. The client has the option to print this message and with confirmed bookings, may wish to take the page to the hotel as proof of booking and pre-payment.

Where the booking is on request, bookmainstreet.co.uk will send a confirmation email to the client as soon as the booking is secured. If bookmainstreet.co.uk are not able to confirm the booking, bookmainstreet.co.uk will contact the client to advise them. It is often the case that we can offer an alternative to the original request, subject to availability.

It is the responsibility of the client to check the details of the confirmation are correct and as booked and to contact worldwide rooms as soon as possible if they are not.

Reallocations/Changes to your accommodation

Whilst bookmainstreet.co.uk makes every effort to maintain arrangements for accommodation reservations as originally booked and confirmed to the client, some changes may occur for reasons beyond our control. The reasons may include but are not limited to: overbooking issues, closure of facilities at accommodation or full/partial closures of accommodation. We will make every effort to inform the client of any reallocation or change to the booked accommodation as soon as bookmainstreet.co.uk becomes aware and whilst it is desirable to advise the client well in advance of travel it may not always be possible and the client may receive notification of a change at short notice. We will always endeavour to contact the client at the earliest opportunity in person by telephone or email where this is not possible.

The accommodation providers reserve the right to change the clients’ accommodation to an alternative of the same or superior standard within the same resort.

Occasionally the accommodation providers may have to offer alternative accommodation of a lower standard or within a different resort to the original accommodation booked; in these circumstances compensation may be offered to the client by the accommodation providers, but is not guaranteed. bookmainstreet.co.uk strongly recommends that the client undertakes checks into any alternatives offered before agreeing to accept and before travelling.

When the accommodation providers are unable to confirm a suitable alternative, we reserve the right to cancel the booking and we will call the client (where a telephone number is provided) and an email notification will be sent to inform the client of the details. Where it is not possible to offer the client a suitable alternative or where the client chooses not to accept any alternative offered, worldwide rooms will agree a full refund for the accommodation, provided the client makes that decision at least 1 day before departure date.

Please note, once the client has left to take up the accommodation, the client has no right to cancel the reservation and no refunds will be made, in accordance with our cancellation policy.

We reserve the right to cancel the Contract between us if one or more of the booking items were listed at an incorrect price due to a typographical error or an error in the pricing information received by bookmainstreet.co.uk from our suppliers. If we do cancel the clients Contract we will notify the client by phone/e-mail/letter and re-credit to the clients account any sum deducted by bookmainstreet.co.uk from the credit/debit card as soon as possible. We will not be obliged to offer any additional compensation for disappointment suffered.

Star ratings and Quality of Accommodation

The client acknowledges that star ratings may vary in accuracy from country to country and cannot be relied upon to identify the quality of the accommodation - the star rating is merely a general guide.

Similarly, the client acknowledges that the type of rooms provided by a hotel may also vary from country to country. This is particularly the case with triple rooms which are rooms suitable for three adults containing two twin beds or one double plus one extra bed. Please note that the extra bed may be a pull down or rollaway bed as the rooms do not usually have three full-size beds.

It is the responsibility of the client to confirm this if they are concerned.

If a facility or feature is of particular importance to the client, then the client must make worldwide rooms aware of this, to enable the information to be confirmed.

Car Parking

The client acknowledges that the inclusion in the hotel`s facilities of car-parking means that a provision is made by the hotel for car parking, the availability and cost of which is determined by the individual hotel. Car-parking may not always be on-site. It is the responsibility of the client to check the availability and cost of car-parking provided by the individual hotel.

Complaints

Any complaint regarding the hotel should be notified to the Hotel Reception or to the relevant hotel representative during the client`s stay and the hotel management must be given adequate opportunity to rectify the situation at the time. Where any such complaint is not rectified by the hotel in question to the client`s satisfaction, the client should contact bookmainstreet.co.uk immediately and bookmainstreet.co.uk will endeavour to assist. The overseas contact details for bookmainstreet.co.uk can be found at the bottom of your confirmation voucher - it is imperative that you take your booking confirmation voucher with you when you travel.
